International Engagement
- U of S International Map (iMap) developed by the International and International Research offices and designed by The Spatial Initiative, catalogues international research, collaboration and mobility. This interactive map can be used to view international engagement as well as develop contacts and networks to support global projects.
- Support for Popular Browsers: Firefox, Chrome, Safari 3+, and Internet Explorer 7-10.
Data information
- Currently there are three datasets:
- International Research and Development (RD) projects (67 projects) are provided by the International Research office.
- Student Exchange data (70 records) are provided by the International office.
- Letter of Intent (LOI) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU) (183 records) are provided by the International office.
- Each record has three file formats: htm, pdf, and docx. You can open the htm files much faster than the PDF and docx files on a slow internet connection. You can access these files though the popup information window in the interactive map or via our shared folder below.
Register your data
- The iMap is constantly being updated, and reflects many of the international initiatives being undertaken by the University of Saskatchewan community. Additional projects are welcome and can be registered by emailing us the completed template files:
- International Research and Development (RD) projects: RD.docx.
- Student Exchange: SE.docx.
- Letter of Intent (LOI) and Memorandums of Understanding (MOU): LM.docx.

Mapping a network drive to our shared folder
- When you create a shortcut to a shared folder on a network (also called mapping a network drive), you can get to it from Computer or Windows Explorer without having to look for it or type its network address each time.
- The U of S VPN is required for off-campus devices.
- Open a Windows Explorer window by clicking the Start button, and then clicking Computer.
- Click Map network drive. If you can't open the Map network drive, you might not have the correct permissions on your computer and contact your administrator.
- In the Drive list, click a drive letter.
- In the Folder box, typing “\\webgis\iMap”, or click Browse to find iMap folder. How?
- Click Finish. Your computer is now connected, or mapped, to the network drive.
What about the next version?
